Some of my biggest influences as a watercolorist are John Singer Sargent and a few of the English painters like John Yardley, Trevor Chamberlain and Edward Seago. I just love the impressionistic approach they take to the medium. It's a lot easier to do watercolor inside a comfortable studio; however, it's fun to paint outdoors like Sargent, "making the best of an emergency."
