Michael McClure | Landscapes and Still Life

Quite a few of the paintings here were done "en plein air" (outside). I get pretty excited when I happen upon a scene that has great light or outstanding color or wonderful contrasts, or a combination of all three. I like to experience the atmosphere of a place; an exchange of energy happens that animates the work. I try to transmit this same excitement when I'm working in my studio.
